Day 03   Manali. Drive to the mighty snowbound Rohtang Pass - at 3979 mtrs - the gateway to Lahaul-Spiti valley.

Day 04   Manali. Before lunch savour the picturesque Solang Valley with its rolling meadows, ski slopes (in winters) and paragliding activities (in summers), offering spectacular views. In the afternoon drive 22 kms to the beautiful heritage Naggar Castle, the old capital of Kullu. In Naggar is located, the Roerich Art Gallery museum, in a grove of deodhars with lovely views all around. It houses a collection of the paintings by the Russian artist. Naggar is very serene and picturesque.

Day 05   Manali - Dharamshala / Mcleodganj (235 kms / 6 hrs). After a leisurely breakfast, drive closer to the panoramic Dhauladhar ranges and upto the enchanting town of Dharamshala. After settling into the resort, explore the town, replete with Tibetan culture and the residence of His Holiness, The Dalai Lama.

Day 06  Dharamshala. Imbibe the magic of the ‘White Ranges’ and of history and nature as much as you can while visiting the Tibetan Monastery, St. John’s church in the wilderness, Triund Peak, Dal lake, Naddi. Shop in the bazaar for Tibetan handicrafts in the evening.

Day 07  Dharamsala – Dalhousie (150 kms / 4 hrs). Leave at 12 Noon. Drive into the charming and sylvan environs of  Dalhousie by 4 P.M. After settling into the resort, try to catch the sunset across the mountain ranges.

Visit the ancient Baijnath Shiva temple, the Tashijong monastery, the Tibetan carpet weaving factory, Tankha paintings, the Andretta pottery village and Shoba Singh Art gallery.

Day 04  Taragarh – Dharamshala / Mcleodganj (65 kms / 1.5 hrs). After a leisurely breakfast, drive closer to the panoramic Dhauladhar ranges and upto the enchanting town of Dharamshala. After settling into the resort, explore the town, replete with Tibetan culture and the residence of His Holiness, The Dalai Lama.

Day 07  Pragpur. After a leisurely breakfast, go upto river Beas with its unspoilt beaches, 6 km away, which offers the possibility of swimming and angling during season. The landscape is beautiful with a rich variety of flora, fauna, bird life, innumerable small monuments and a special rural ambience for walks and picnics.

Reach Shimla with its lingering echoes of a bygone era. Enjoy the evening at The Ridge / Scandal Point - the hub of the town with its ice-cream vendors, pony rides and spectacular Himalayan views, souvenirs and curios at Lakkar Bazaar. Later on, pamper yourself at the facilities of the resort.

Day 12  Shimla. After breakfast, explore Naldehra's rolling meadows and the 9 hole golf course and Mashobra with its pine forests offering lovely walks, specially the pathways from Bekalty Road. Further, drive to Kufri. Visit the famed ski slopes and the small zoo and Chail with its romantic palace, deodhar forests, not to forget its highest cricket pitch. The area has beautiful views and charming walks through conifer forests. Drive to Fagu and its apple orchards and onto Narkanda (upto Hatu Peak) famed for its ski slopes and breathtaking views of the Himalayan peaks foreshadowed by the terraced fields and verdant forests. In the evening, pamper yourself at the facilities of the resort. Overnight at Shimla.
Day 13  Shimla. Soak in the ambience of Shimla - an old world town, going shopping  on the the fashionable Mall - the main promenade that is agog with elegant shops, splendid hotels, restaurants and bustling, gay cosmopolitan crowds that give the appearance of being on a perpetual holiday. Cobble-stoned paths wind down to the middle and lower bazaars.

Day 14  Shimla - Kasauli. (77 kms / 2.5 hrs). Leave after breakfast to reach Kasauli by lunchtime. After a leisurely lunch take a short siesta. Late afternoon, visit the quaint town of Kasauli, stroll through the mall and relax at "Monkey Point". In the evening, pamper yourself at the facilities of the resort.

Day 15  Kasauli. Spend the day at Kasauli: A charming quaint little town, 12 kms off the highway. Its colonial ambience is reinforced by cobbled paths, quaint shops, gabled houses with charming facades and scores of neat little gardens and orchards. The upper and lower malls run through Kasauli's length. Mixed forests of chir-pine, Himalayan oak and huge horse chestnuts surround Kasauli. There are numerous lovely walks around Kasauli and one can enjoy the beauty of the hills and the riot of colour of the wild flowers that grow in profusion along the hill slopes. Its narrow roads slither up and down the Himachal hillsides and offer some magnificent vistas.
