OR you can take a full day trip to Manikaran 85 km from Manali and 45 km from Kullu, in the Parvati Valley. Here icy cold waters of the Parvati river co-exists with boiling water side-by-side. The hot water springs are reputed for their healing properties.

LASTING IMPRESSIONS !

It was a exhilarating experience for our honeymoon trip as planned and executed by you and your team. The drive to Manali via a stop-over at Chandigarh, cruising past the Beas river, sailing through the misty wind and tunnelling roads . . .all a experience, which me and my better half can never forget.
The Ambassador Resorts experience was like living in the lap of snow mountains. Never in our life did we even thought that the first morning view of snow-clad peaks can be so soothing and ease out the stress / tension in a day at Delhi.  One of the best experience during our stay at Manali was the trek to "Bijli Mahadev". Reaching at the temple was quite a tiring trekking experience but believe you me, the moment we reached atop, it was something / somewhere we always wanted to spend our life, together.  
Shimla was a very refreshing break 'coz of the place where you had made arrangements. Nice accommodation, nice staff, and a very relaxing stay.

The itinerary and the trip u organised for us to Manali in Nov, 2006  was unforgettable and wonderful. Thanks to u we had a really memorable holiday. The hospitality and Food at Nalagarh was very good. But Manali Resort was abs Great. The view and location was must say "Picture Perfect". Rarely has a hotel pleased us so much It was truly a great Package. Solang was Ok, though the horse ride up to Shivling for three hours was thrilling. We trekked to Rohtang too as vehicles had began to skid on the ice there. Sirish the driver, provided  for us was very polite pleasant and a great person too. He drove carefully and took great care of us. All in all the holiday to celebrate our 25 years of togetherness was a dream.... After settling into the resort, late afternoon climb up 2 kms to Jakhoo Hill near the highest point on the Shimla Ridge and visit Jakhoo Temple (dedicated to Lord Hanuman). Enjoy the evening at The Ridge / Scandal Point - the hub of the town with its ice-cream vendors, pony rides and spectacular Himalayan views. Later on, pamper yourself at the facilities of the resort.

After breakfast, explore the old colonial buildings, most famous amongst them being the Viceregal Lodge. It once served as the seat of British power, from a hillock west of Shimla. The imposing six-storey edifice, with its manicured gardens is today the institute for advanced studies. It overlooks the Shimla State Museum, which is a treasure trove of Pahari art and sculpture.

Further move on to explore the scenic places around Simla – Naldhera with its rolling meadows and a 9 hole golf course,  Mashobra with its pine forests offering lovely walks, specially the pathways from Bekalty Road, Kufri's famed ski slopes views and the small zoo and Chail with its romantic palace, deodhar forests, not to forget  its highest cricket pitch. The area has breathtaking views of the Himalayan peaks foreshadowed by the terraced fields and verdant forests.

In the evening soak in the ambience of this old world town, going shopping  on the the fashionable Mall - the main promenade that is agog with elegant shops, splendid hotels, restaurants and bustling, gay cosmopolitan crowds that give the appearance of being on a perpetual holiday.  ALTERNATE DESTINATIONS TO SHOGHI.
Kasauli: A charming quaint little town about 77 kms before Shimla, 12 kms off the highway. Its colonial ambience is reinforced by cobbled paths, quaint shops, gabled houses with charming facades and scores of neat little gardens and orchards. The upper and lower malls run through Kasauli's length. Mixed forests of chir-pine, Himalayan oak and huge horse chestnuts surround Kasauli. There are numerous lovely walks around Kasauli and one can enjoy the beauty of the hills and the riot of colour of the wild flowers that grow in profusion along the hill slopes. Its narrow roads slither up and down the Himachal hillsides and offer some magnificent vistas.
