Start from Delhi at 7 A.M. At 2-3 P.M reach Shimla / Naldehra / Shoghi.

For those who love the hustle-bustle of the Mall Road and the action at the Ridge, Shimla is the place to be with its lingering echoes of a bygone era. It evokes a sense of nostalgia with its pretty gabled cottages, half-timbered buildings and old churches.
If you are looking for something slightly offbeat (no crowds or shopping!) but at the same time luxury and novelty; The Chalets or Koti Resorts at Naldehra (22 kms ahead of Shimla) is the ideal destination resort - quaint cottages, swimming pool, backdrop of a deodar forest, delectable cuisine. OR you can take a full day trip to Manikaran 85 km from Manali and 45 km from Kullu, in the Parvati Valley. Here icy cold waters of the Parvati river co-exists with boiling water side-by-side. The hot water springs are reputed for their healing properties.

LASTING IMPRESSIONS !

It was a exhilarating experience for our honeymoon trip as planned and executed by you and your team. The drive to Manali via a stop-over at Chandigarh, cruising past the Beas river, sailing through the misty wind and tunnelling roads . . .all a experience, which me and my better half can never forget.
The Ambassador Resorts experience was like living in the lap of snow mountains. Never in our life did we even thought that the first morning view of snow-clad peaks can be so soothing and ease out the stress / tension in a day at Delhi.  One of the best experience during our stay at Manali was the trek to "Bijli Mahadev". Reaching at the temple was quite a tiring trekking experience but believe you me, the moment we reached atop, it was something / somewhere we always wanted to spend our life, together.  
Shimla was a very refreshing break 'coz of the place where you had made arrangements. Nice accommodation, nice staff, and a very relaxing stay.

Solang Valley, 13 kms from Manali, is the hub of paragliding (in summers) and skiing (in winters) with its rolling meadows and spectacular mountain views all around.  Many trekking paths also take off from here.

Day 03  Solang Valley / Naggar. After a leisurely breakfast, go for a trek with a packed lunch. The rolling meadows and the views of the snow capped Himalayas and the Beas river meandering in the valley below are a traveller's dream. Or partake in adventure activities - a huge adrenalin rush.

The itinerary and the trip u organised for us to Manali in Nov, 2006  was unforgettable and wonderful. Thanks to u we had a really memorable holiday. The hospitality and Food at Nalagarh was very good. But Manali Resort was abs Great. The view and location was must say "Picture Perfect". Rarely has a hotel pleased us so much It was truly a great Package. Solang was Ok, though the horse ride up to Shivling for three hours was thrilling. We trekked to Rohtang too as vehicles had began to skid on the ice there. Sirish the driver, provided  for us was very polite pleasant and a great person too. He drove carefully and took great care of us. All in all the holiday to celebrate our 25 years of togetherness was a dream.... Day 02   Shimla.  Wake up to the invigorating mountain air. After breakfast, explore the old colonial buildings, most famous amongst them being the Viceregal Lodge. It once served as the seat of British power, from a hillock west of Shimla. The imposing six-storey edifice, with its manicured gardens is today the institute for advanced studies. It overlooks the Shimla State Museum, which is a treasure trove of Pahari art and sculpture.
In the evening soak in the ambience of this old world town, going shopping  on the the fashionable Mall - the main promenade that is agog with elegant shops, splendid hotels, restaurants and bustling, gay cosmopolitan crowds that give the appearance of being on a perpetual holiday. Cobble-stoned paths wind down to the middle and lower bazaars.

Day 03   Shimla - Naldehra (22 kms / 45 mins). Leave Shimla after a leisurely breakfast. Explore Naldehra's rolling meadows and the 9 hole golf course and Mashobra with its pine forests offering lovely walks, specially the pathways from Bekalty Road. Further, drive to Kufri. Visit the famed ski slopes (in winters) and the small zoo and Chail with its romantic palace, deodhar forests, not to forget its highest cricket pitch. The area has beautiful views and charming walks through conifer forests. Drive to Fagu and its apple orchards and onto Narkanda (upto Hatu Peak) popular for breathtaking views of the Himalayan peaks foreshadowed by the terraced fields and verdant forests. In the evening, pamper yourself at the facilities of the resort.

Day 04   Naldehra.  After breakfast, you can drive down for about an hour to Chabba and partake in river rafting (only in summers) on the Sutlej river upto the sulphur springs at Tattapani. Or try your hand at golf at the HPTDC, 9 hole golf course in Naldehra. For those who want a laid back vacation, just take a walk through the forest with a picnic hamper and then spend your time at the swimming pool at the resort. Evenings are reserved for bonfires (in winters) and barbecues.

ALTERNATE DESTINATIONS TO NALDEHRA.
Kasauli: A charming quaint little town about 77 kms before Shimla, 12 kms off the highway. Its colonial ambience is reinforced by cobbled paths, quaint shops, gabled houses with charming facades and scores of neat little gardens and orchards. The upper and lower malls run through Kasauli's length. Mixed forests of chir-pine, Himalayan oak and huge horse chestnuts surround Kasauli. There are numerous lovely walks around Kasauli and one can enjoy the beauty of the hills and the riot of colour of the wild flowers that grow in profusion along the hill slopes. Its narrow roads slither up and down the Himachal hillsides and offer some magnificent vistas.
Shoghi - Parkwoods Forest Retreat: At a height of 5700 feet and set on a ridge, spread over 20 acres of unspoilt wilderness it is nestled amidst the wooded suburbs of Shimla (Himachal Pradesh, India).
