Rafting Camp set on the silver sand beach, amidst thick forests and mountains
ACCOMMODATION FOR WHITEWATER RIVER RAFTING TRIP ON THE GANGES GO TOP
Rafting Beach Camp on the Ganges

The Camp is a very scenic beach camp by the Ganga river, located upstream from Rishikesh and before Kaudiyala, in the Himalayan foothills. It stretches onto 800 meters of silver sand beach, surrounded by thick forests and mountains, bright sunshine and constantly flowing emerald green river Ganges. Night on the beach has its own mystic charm - starlit sky, silhouette of the mountains, the moon shimmering on the river, the rippling sound of water and the camp fire romance. This is a great way to explore the outdoors.

Accommodation
is in safari tents with a living area of the size of 10 x 12 feet
which have a centre table and two beds with mattresses. Each unit is weather proof and well ventilated with roll up windows. Dining is an interesting affair as well. Keeping up with the forest department guidelines we have dry pit toilets (sanitized by lime powder) at one end of the camp which also houses bathing tents and general wash area. People at the camp generally prefer to bathe at the river but hot water is also made available on request.

Dining:
Food is laid out in a separate dining tent overlooking river Ganga. Drinking water at the camp is sourced from a natural water spring about 200 meters from the camp. Alternatively bottled water is procured for drinking and cooking purposes. Adequate supply of bottled drinking water is also maintained at the camp. The camp kitchen takes care of the meals in a buffet arrangement with a large spread. The meal pattern is generally vegetarian. Chinese and continental food is also served at the camp with prior information and request for groups. Liven up your evenings on the beach under a starlit sky with mouth watering bar-be-cue, tandoori delights, music and bonfire !

Activities:
A host of activities await you here - rafting, kayaking, body surfing, forest walks, village visits, trekking, bird watching, star gazing, beach volleyball, cricket, rugby or simply building sandcastles or sunbathing. It is also a great venue for corporate programs like outbound training, team building, stress management. For those interested in adventure we offer rafting and kayaking on the Ganges with experienced river runners. The wilderness around the camp encourages you to go for scenic walks in the invigorating and pure morning air. Also on offer is trekking, rock climbing and rappelling.

Camp Games: For the sports freak, there's enough to keep the energies charged. Take your pick from Volleyball, Badminton, Carom, Dart and Chess. Or perhaps, simply laze on the hammock and let your thoughts drift with the sound of the flowing river.

Evenings at the Camp: Loosen up in the evening with the hip swinging ‘n’ singing session, complete with bonfire at the camp beach. Or participate in one of the campfire games. And if there's a musician in any of you, there's always the option of carrying your instrument and creating your own ambience. Then there is always getting involved in Levitation, Knots, Plank Bridge and Boston Lap games to name a few of the campfire games.

Rock Climbing & Rappelling:
In this basic class the fundamentals of technical rock climbing/rappelling; knots, top ropes, belaying and rappelling, also basic friction, face and crack climbing techniques are covered. After practicing the basics, you'll follow your instructor on an easy but exhilarating multi-pitch climb, as part of a rope team.

Body surfing /swimming - Take a dip in the river and let yourself afloat. The current is just right for even a novice to handle. Or try the sport of body surfing in the baby rapids. Even the non swimmers can try out the sport, of course with a life jacket on. We even have a few tube floats on which you can relax in the middle of the river. Of course we'll tie you and the float to something at the beach to make sure you don't get carried away with the current.

Night Trek (1 km) - Pay obeisance to Lord Shiva right in the middle of the jungle, after making your way over a small suspension bridge in the middle of the night. You may even get to see or maybe hear an odd barking deer.

Visits to the Waterfalls - All along the road up in the mountains there are hidden waterfalls, some perennial, some seasonal. You can ask anyone from the camp to take you to one of the many falls that we have located in case waterfalls are your fascination.

Trekking to Nearby Garhwali Village: This is an interesting trek of  duration of  2 hrs. to a very small Garhwali village, which will make you aware of the life style of Garhwalis, the flora and fauna of that region. Moreover this trek will be a Bird Watching activity.

Visit to Stalactite and Stalagmites Caves:
It's a small drive of around one hour to Stalactite & Stalagmite caves, which is near Guller. On your way back you can visit Vashishth Caves for which the vehicle would drop you at Guller and you have to walk around 250 metres to visit the place.

A trip to Devprayag to experience the confluence of the Bhagirathi and the Alaknanda Rivers where the Ganges emerges is a spectacular sight.

LASTING IMPRESSIONS !

~ Hi, We are back in England attempting to get back into our daily routines! Well, we had a fantastic trip. The rafting camp was great, the kids absolutely loved it. They swam, built sandcastles and went rappelling! We met some really nice people there and sang around the campfire. The rafting was good too, Steve did the longer trip and me and the kids joined him for the float bit down to Rishikesh. So, a great trip.
